Damien Lewis, OG, LSU

The Raiders appear to be shopping guard Gabe Jackson, and if they chose to replace him, Damien Lewis of LSU is a somewhat similar type of player who could be a plug-in starter. He is a monster in the run game showing incredible power and plays with a nastiness that the Raiders would absolutely love.

Lewis does not have the best length, which makes him strictly a guard, and he will have some trouble with speed on the inside, but playing next to Rodney Hudson can mitigate some of those issues. With Richie Incognito up there in age, there has to be a plan moving forward, and Lewis would be that guy at great value.

The Raiders want to establish the run and wear teams down with long drives that play right into the hands of the guy like Lewis. His physicality as a run blocker will wear teams down as the game goes on. Mike Mayock and Jon Gruden have proven they value tough-minded prospects, and Lewis is just that type of player.

For Las Vegas, the offensive line is definitely a strength, but Lewis could be a long-term investment that could pay out handsomely. In addition, rumors are swirling that the team may try to move on from Gabe Jackson, who has a high cap number, and no dead cap money.
