We’ll go with back-to-back specialists for the Raiders. The last thing any coach wants to worry about with their kicker, punter, or long snapper is the player being an issue off the field. Gruden and the rest of the staff shouldn’t be concerned about that with Liam McCullough, as he earned an academic honor or award every year at Ohio State.

Beyond the classroom, McCullough excelled on the field as well. The former Buckeye had flawless snaps in 54 out of 55 career games in Columbus.

Trent Sieg has served as the Silver and Black’s long snapper for the last couple of years and has done a fine job, so it will be a bit of an uphill battle for McCullough to make the roster. However, Sieg can be let go at the start of the season with no dead cap, so the door is slightly open for the rookie.
