Las Vegas Raiders add more talent with their 2020 UDFA class

If there is a common theme for Las Vegas’ offseason, it’s tight ends. Jason Witten, Nick O’Leary, and Paul Butler all signed with the team in free agency, so why not add one more from the undrafted free agent market?

Nick Bowers joins the Silver and Black after spending his college years at Penn State. Gruden and Mayock were clearly looking for smart guys on the open market, as the former Nittany Lion was another Academic All-Big 10 selection. In Happy Valley, he saw action in 10 games and hauled in 17 catches for 279 yards and five touchdowns.

At 6’4″ and 260 pounds, Bowers was more a blocking tight end in college. He’ll likely be playing to make another team’s roster in August, as there isn’t a lot of wiggle room in the position group with Darren Waller, Foster Moreau, and Derek Carrier to go along with the names above.
