Las Vegas Raiders revamp wide receiver group during 2020 NFL Draft
The Las Vegas Raiders selected three players in the 2020 NFL Draft who could line up at WR, what impact does that have on the depth chart going in to the 2020 season
The Las Vegas Raiders made offense a priority in the 2020 NFL Draft, using four of their seven selections on players on that side of the ball, including three of their first four. Three of those four players could line up at wide receiver for the Raiders in 2020 with the odd man out being an offensive guard who, if things got wild enough, could line up out wide too.
In all seriousness, the Raiders now have a problem that is a good one to have, too much talent to fill out the roster at what was possibly their greatest position of need. At the end of 2019, the Raiders active roster had six receivers: Marcell Ateman, Keelan Doss, Rico Gafford, Zay Jones, Hunter Renfrow, and Tyrell Williams.
As great as we think Renfrow might become and how good Williams was in flashes, this was not a group that struck fear into any opposing defensive coordinators. After the draft and after signing WR Anthony Ratliff-Williams to a reserve/future contract and adding an undrafted rookie, here is the full list of receivers currently on the Raiders roster. Please note that we have not included Lynn Bowden, Jr. who was drafted as a WR but will be listed by the Raiders as a RB.
