Rest of the 2019 NFL Draft

After landing two players from this game in the first round of the 2019 national title game, Mayock and company got to work over the next two days. The next crop brought in three players, including one that they added after the draft ended.

Cornerback Trayvon Mullen was actually the Defensive Most Valuable Player of the Game, as he had six tackles, a forced fumble, and a crucial interception. He was all over the field, and Mayock saw enough of him that he selected with the No. 40 overall pick in the second round, the team’s only draft selection on Day 2.

Mayock was not done there, as he added Hunter Renfrow with one of the team’s three fourth round picks on Day 3. Renfrow hauled in the game-winning touchdown two years earlier against Alabama, and in the 2019 game, he had two catches for ten yards.

Finally, Lester Cotton, a starter along the Alabama offensive line was brought in as an undrafted free agent after the draft process. Cotton played in one game as a rookie for the Raiders, and will be back with the team in 2020 looking to earn a roster spot out of camp.
