Defensive tackle depth

The Raiders signed Maliek Collins from the Dallas Cowboys on a one-year deal to help add more punch to their interior pass rush and he should pair well with Mo Hurst and Johnathan Hankins who combined for 5 sacks in 2019. Collins has 14.5 sacks in his four-year career and is familiar with Rod Marinelli from their days in Dallas so he should be able to make an immediate impact.

Despite the addition of Collins, there was a hope that the Raiders could target a dominant interior presence to take some pressure off the defensive ends. Johnathan Hankins is a mountain of a man and can be dominant at times but if he goes down the Raiders will have serious issues against the run.

While this is not a pressing need it is similar to the linebacker issue. The Raiders brought in undrafted free agent DT Mike Panasiuk but he is on the smaller side for an interior defensive lineman. Finally, the hope is that P.J. Hall will continue his improvement in his third season in the NFL.
