The Las Vegas Raiders will christen their new stadium with an exciting matchup, as they welcome Drew Brees and the New Orleans Saints in primetime.

Allegiant Stadium, AKA the “Death Star”, is a marvel of what the latest technology can construct. The stadium nestled in Las Vegas, brings forth a change the Raiders have never seen as a franchise, a state of the art stadium, which rivals any among the league.

A new backdrop in Las Vegas that has everyone buzzing. The time to rebrand the franchise and turn it’s losing fortunes as of late around is now, and over the last two years, general manager Mike Mayock has done a tremendous job revamping this roster.

As they head into 2020, the now-Las Vegas Raiders will be a primetime ticket, and it will all start on Monday night in Week 2. In Week 2, the Raiders will play on Monday Night Football against one of the best quarterbacks in the history of the game to open up their brand new stadium, and the excitement is already in the air.

The first game has two things going for it, for one, is the fact that it is a primetime game on Monday night, which is well deserved, considering the hype around it being the first game at the stadium. Secondly the team will host future Hall of Fame quarterback Drew Brees and the New Orleans Saints, a team that routinely is among the best of the NFL over the course of the last few years.

To predict the outcome of this game at this point is maybe a bit of a stretch. With training camp not even started, teams have not even begun to scratch the surface of building their 55-man rosters. In addition, it is a big question mark as to what the offseason will even look like with the current pandemic circling the county.

The main thing to be excited about is the future, as after 24 years at the Coliseum, a stadium more known for being played on a baseball diamond for many stretches of the year, as well as being routinely on list of the worst stadiums around the league, the time has come for the Raiders to finally enjoy the luxuries many teams around the league are experiencing.

The nearly two-billion-dollar stadium has up to date turf, locker rooms, as well as seating and amenities for fans, which is a dream come true for the franchise and Raider Nation. The fact that they will be playing in Las Vegas is also exciting, as it is widely considered one of the more exciting cities in the world.

Sure, the game is a tremendous matchup, but the first game at Allegiant goes well beyond just what the final score will be. The stadium is an opportunity to really turn the page as a franchise, and the expectation will be to win heading into their new digs.

The big day arrives September 21st, and not only will all of Raider Nation be watching, but the world as well. Also, for the fun of it, let’s just add the Raiders have revamped their defense and added numerous weapons on offense. So let’s see how these new look Raiders take Sin City and the world by the horns.
