Teams always seem to be changing their look in terms of their jerseys, but the Las Vegas Raiders perfect and timeless jersey should never change.

The 2020 NFL season is bringing about some major changes, especially in the uniform department. Seven teams have changed their uniform designs for the upcoming season, some small changes, others completely overhauled. Luckily, the Las Vegas Raiders did not, and they never should.

The changing of the guard when it comes to jersey design is nothing new, from baseball to basketball and football, these changes are a common occurrence. Nevertheless, when you have a look as timeless as the Raiders, change can be a bad thing, in fact it would seem downright criminal to change the classic Silver and Black uniforms.

1963 can be described as one of the most vital years in the history of the franchise. Al Davis would be named head coach, and the Raiders debuted their new Silver and Black threads that would transcend the sports world forever.

When thinking about the classic design, maybe only the New York Yankees of Major League Baseball are in this same realm.

The names that have donned the famous silver and black are a cluster of football legends that span from all-time players such as Ken Stabler, Gene Upshaw, Tim Brown, and Charles Woodson. We could really go all day here pointing out Raiders legends, but the one thing that remains synonymous is the jersey remained the same.

For all of the changes that are going around league wide, it would be insane to think the Raiders should follow suit. The bottom line is the Raiders jersey design is a work of art, and has transcended time as the team moved from city to city, but the look remained the same.

There have been some small incremental changes along the way, but the uniform has remained nearly the same over all of these decades. The classic Silver and Black color scheme is related to the deep and treasured history of the Raiders.

Surely, the last decade or so has not been too kind to the Raiders, but the one thing that has remained intact is the timeless uniform. So no matter if you want to gripe about wins or losses, or even the new move to Las Vegas, Raider Nation can breath a sigh of relief in unison that the jersey is still the very same.
