Pete Prisco from CBS Sports recently released his list of the top-100 players, and two Las Vegas Raiders stars were noticeably absent from the rankings.

The Las Vegas Raiders won seven games last season, and missed out on the playoffs once again, but that does not mean that there was no star power on the team. In fact, they had a rookie running back nearly win the NFL’s Offensive Rookie of the Year honors, and a center that is once again one of the best in the game.

Pete Prisco from CBS Sports recently laid out his top-100 for the 2020 season, and while one member of the Raiders made the cut, these two were noticeably absent. It is not unusual for Raiders players to get no love from the national media, but leaving these two guys off the list is a downright injustice.

Josh Jacobs re-wrote the Raiders rookie record book last season, playing half the year with a broken shoulder, while rushing for over 1,100 yards. Rodney Hudson proved once again to be as dominant as ever at center, and is by far one of the best, if not the best center in the NFL.

Not only did both of these guys not get listed in the top-100, but they did not even get listed in the “just missed” section after the rankings.

Star tight end Darren Waller comes in at No. 79 overall

The only member of the Las Vegas Raiders to be named in Prisco’s list was tight end Darren Waller, who stepped up big time with the Raiders missing a true WR1 throughout the 2019 season. This is a kid who has overcome a lot in his life to become a legitimate star at the NFL level, and his star is only going to shine brighter in years to come.

Waller was an absolute beast for the Raiders last season, finishing with 90 catches, which is tied for the seventh-most ever in team history in a single season. He was one of the breakout stars of the NFL, and after signing him to an extension, the Raiders have their elite, pass-catching tight end for the foreseeable future.

Kansas City Chiefs lead the way, while Los Angeles and Denver all have multiple players listed

Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes was the No. 1 ranked player according to the list, and that is fair, as he is fresh off leading the team to a Super Bowl title. Overall, the Chiefs had six players listed, including Travis Kelce (20), Tyrann Mathieu (34), Chris Jones (36), Mitchell Schwartz (41), and Tyreek Hill (43).

The Chargers were well-represented as well, with Joey Bosa leading the Bolts at No. 13 overall. Derwin James (49), Keenan Allen (66), Melvin Ingram (74), and Casey Hayward (83), also were honored, and the Broncos had Von Miller (21) and Justin Simmons (78) named in the list of the top-100.

Obviously, there are other players on the Raiders roster who could make the cut next season, including Derek Carr, Cory Littleton, Trayvon Mullen, and Johnathan Abram to name a few. This is a roster that is being built up the right way, and despite what Prisco thinks, there are more than just one of the best 100 players in the league donning the Silver and Black in 2020.
