Back in 2014, the then-Oakland Raiders brought in a haul that included some cornerstone players, and it was rated the best in the last 20 years.

The 2013 Oakland Raiders were one of the worst in football, as head coach Dennis Allen led the team to their 11th straight losing season. At the time, the Raiders as a franchise were a mess, trying to recapture the magic of the turn of the century, where they were one of the best teams in the AFC, and even made it to a Super Bowl.

In 2013, the Raiders won only four games, and finished the season on a downward slide, including six straight losses to close out the campaign. This led the team to lock in the No. 5 overall selection in the 2014 NFL Draft, a draft that would prove to be one of the more fruitful in team history.

According to Bryan DeArdo from CBS Sports, the Raiders best draft class in the last 20 years came six years ago. During the 2014 NFL Draft, the Raiders brought in a haul that included a generational talent at edge rusher, a franchise quarterback, and a guard who is still patrolling the team’s offensive line.
