5 UDFAs with a chance to make the Raiders roster this summer.

Dominik Eberle

It’s almost like the Raiders have seen two completely different players in Daniel Carlson’s rookie and sophomore seasons. In 2018, he was terrific, converting on 16 out of 17 field goal attempts and nailing every extra point he tried. However, last season the Auburn product was 19 for 26 on field goals and missed two point after attempts.

Gruden and Mayock were expected to bring in some competition for Carlson this offseason, and that’s exactly what they did by signing Dominik Eberle.

In college, Eberle never missed an extra point and converted on 79 percent of his field goal attempts, including 87.5 percent as a senior last season. It’s also interesting to note that Drafttek.com ranked him as the best kicker in the draft class, ahead of Lou Groza Award winner, Rodrigo Blankenship.

The Utah State product also handled kick off duties for the Aggies, so this will be an interesting training camp battle. Albeit, certainly not the most fun to watch.
