Las Vegas Raiders 2020 Opponent Review: Buffalo Bills
Additions and Subtractions
The Bills made their big offseason splash in the trade market as they went out and spent big on Minnesota Vikings WR Stefon Diggs. In exchange for Diggs and a 7th round pick, the Bills sent a 2020 first, fifth, sixth, and a 2021 fourth round pick which is a tremendous price for a player that has yet to make a Pro Bowl in his five-year career.
Still this gives the Bills a great weapon on the outside to pair with WRs John Brown and Cole Beasley. The Bills now have the potential to have an explosive passing offense to pair with their excellent running game but it will all hinge on the development of Josh Allen as a more polished passer.
On the defensive side of the ball the marquee names headed to Buffalo are AJ Klein and Josh Norman. Klein was a consistent starter for the Saints for the past three seasons and joins a linebacker corps featuring talented second-year Pro Bowl LB Tremaine Edmunds.
Josh Norman is not the player he once was but will add to a deep secondary that already has talented veterans in safety Micah Hyde and First Team All-Pro CB Tre’Davious White.
There were no major departures from the Bills offense though they may miss the steady hand of RB Frank Gore in the backfield who started eight games for them in 2019. On defense the primary departure was DE Shaq Lawson who was second on the team with 6.5 sacks but they will look to rookie DE A.J. Epenesa to fill that void.
