6 Raiders players who deserved to win a Super Bowl

Charles Woodson, Defensive Back, 1998-2005 and 2013-2015

The only defensive player to win the Heisman Trophy, Charles Woodson was fresh off a national title when the Raiders selected him with the fourth overall pick in the 1998 NFL Draft. Woodson would make his presence felt right away at the NFL level, becoming the league Defensive Rookie of the Year, while making it to the Pro Bowl.

Woodson’s first stint with the team went from 1998 through 2005, and he made the Pro Bowl in four straight seasons during that time. He would come back to the team after years with the Green Bay Packers, returning for a three-year stint that only cemented his place in Raiders history. In his final season in the Silver and Black, Woodson had five interceptions.

Sure, Woodson would win a Lombardi Trophy with the Packers, but it is really a shame that he never won a ring as a member of the Silver and Black. He is one of those generational Raiders, someone who is beloved across Raider Nation, and he will soon be enshrined in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
