6 Raiders players who deserved to win a Super Bowl
Steve Wisniewski, Offensive Guard, 1989-2001
The Raiders have had plenty of legendary offensive linemen in their franchise history, including all-time legends like Art Shell, Gene Upshaw, and the aforementioned Otto. However, one significant offensive lineman that has gone wildly underappreciated is Steve Wisniewski, who had an incredible run in the Silver and Black.
Affectionately known as “Wiz,” Wisniewski played his entire 13-year career with the Raiders, and rounded into one of the better offensive guards of his time. Originally a second round pick of the Dallas Cowboys back in 1989, Wisniewski was immediately traded to the Raiders, and he would go on to be one of the more dominant guards of the 1990s.
Wisniewski was named an All-Pro in both 1991 and 1992, and was named a member of the NFL’s All-Decade team for the 1990s. He made it to the playoffs on numerous occasions, but saw his career end in the team’s devastating loss to the New England Patriots in the Tuck Rule Game. He is another in a long line of Raiders who deserves to be in the Hall of Fame.
