5 questions for the Las Vegas Raiders offense entering 2020

Darren Waller finding the endzone

Darren Waller proved to be one of the best stories for the Raiders last season, and arguably one of the best stories in all of football. His turnaround story had as profound of an impact off as his production on the field, and the latter resulted in him being one of the best tight ends in the NFL. With 90 receptions for 1,145 yards, Las Vegas has a stud on their hands.

The incredible amount of yards he accumulated resulted in just three touchdowns in 2019, though there are factors at play. Namely, the fact that defenses knew from the get-go that Waller was primary threat number one, and thus reacting accordingly with coverage. That should change in 2020.

With additional weapons and speed on the outside (more on that later) combined with a premier running back in Josh Jacobs, it will be key to see how it affects Waller’s opportunities, hopefully resulting in more looks towards the endzone, especially in red-zone situations.
