How the Las Vegas Raiders can win

Pound the rock. The Raiders have one of the better running backs in all of football in Josh Jacobs, and he will be counted on to carry the load against the Chiefs in Week 5. Jacobs is an incredible do-everything back for the Raiders, and the team has done a nice job complimenting him this offseason, re-signing Jalen Richard, and drafting Lynn Bowden Jr.

Getting the ball into Jacobs’ hands early and often will help keep Mahomes off the field, which is really the only way you can stop him. With so much youth in the Raiders secondary, Mahomes could have a field day if the Raiders do not control the clock, as we saw this past season, when he threw four touchdowns in one quarter against the team.

Las Vegas will get the Chiefs again in Week 11, so there will be no trips to Arrowhead in the winter, and the game will be played in their brand new stadium on Sunday Night Football. In a perfect world, the Raiders would win both of these matchups, but I, for one, would be more than happy with a split against the reigning champs in 2020.
