2020 Las Vegas Raiders 53-man roster projection entering summer

Cornerback (6): Trayvon Mullen, Prince Amukamara, Damon Arnette, Isaiah Johnson, Lamarcus Joyner, Amik Robertson

The Raiders cornerback group is one with a lot of question, but there is no doubt that it has potential. Trayvon Mullen played well last season as rookie when given the chance, and has earned his spot as the CB1 for the team. The Raiders also used a surprise first round pick on Ohio State’s Damon Arnette, a player who played great in college, but was not the CB1 on his own team.

Arnette will have the chance to learn and develop for a bit like Mullen did, as he will likely be behind veteran Prince Amukamara for the majority of the season. Based on the tape, Arnette plays with an Alpha dog mentality, and could easily become the team’s CB2 before all is said and done.

The Raiders also have Lamarcus Joyner and Amik Robertson as their slot corners heading into the 2020 season. Joyner struggled last season, but if he can return to his old form and be used correctly, he could be a great surprise for the team. Robertson has been looked at by many as the steal of the draft for the Raiders, and although he is small, he proved to be an incredible player in college.

Looking at this position group as a whole, it is much-improved over last year, but there is an early season gauntlet of stellar quarterbacks, including Drew Brees, Tom Brady, and Patrick Mahomes.
