2020 Las Vegas Raiders 53-man roster projection entering summer

Defensive Tackle (4): Maurice Hurst, Johnathan Hankins, Maliek Colins, PJ Hall

The Raiders group of defensive tackles is one of their strongest assets on the team, as they have utilized the draft and free agency in recent years to revamp this position group. Although the group lacks a great pass rush, they have numerous solid run stoppers, led by Maurice Hurst, who is entering a breakout year in Year 3.

This offseason, the Raiders brought in Dallas Cowboys defensive line coach Rod Marinelli, replacing Brentson Buckner. In addition, Las Vegas added one of the keys to Marinelli’s defensive line in Dallas last year in Maliek Collins, who is going to play a huge role in the run game, and help in the growth of both Hurst and P.J. Hall.

Johnathan Hankins returns for the 2020 season, and has played well for the Raiders in his two seasons with the team, so he will surely have a spot this season. The final player in the group is P.J. Hall, a player who in his first two seasons in the NFL has generated only 1.5 sacks.

Hall will have to show great improvement to make the team, but with a lack of depth at the position as of now, he will most likely have a spot.
