Las Vegas Raiders 2020 Opponent Review: Cleveland Browns

How the Raiders can win the game

There are a few things working in the Raiders favor in this game, and one huge one is the fact that the Browns will be coming off back-to-back divisional games on the road. Cleveland plays the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 6, and then the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 7, so those will be emotional, prove-it games within the division early on.

Mayfield is a guy who plays with a lot of passion, and you can be sure that he is going to want to make a statement in the divisional games this season. One thing the Raiders can do is make Mayfield beat them in this matchup, as the running back combo of Chubb and Kareem Hunt is a good one, and the Browns may be able to pound the ball with their revamped offensive line.

During his short career, Mayfield has shown a propensity to force ball, and that led him to a 22-21 touchdown-to-interception ratio last season. With the Raiders new-look defense, they should be able to force him into mistakes, and that could end up being the difference in this one.

The final key thing for the Raiders in this matchup will be keeping Derek Carr clean, as Myles Garrett is a premier pass rusher, and can really make things difficult. The Raiders have solid tackles in Kolton Miller and Trent Brown, so they should be able to do the job against Garrett, freeing Carr to try and pick on a young, and inexperienced secondary.
