With 85 days until the opening game of 2020, we start the count down with the best Raiders player at every jersey number. Today we focus on No. 85.

With the season a few months away, we take a look at the best player to wear the jersey number of the number of days left before the opener on September 13, 2020 against the Carolina Panthers. That game will kick off the new era of Raiders football.

We continue our series with No. 85.

Dokie Williams played for the Raiders from 1983 through 1987, and for a time, he was a top option in the passing game. A member of the Raiders 1983 Super Bowl championship team Williams had a knack for making big plays, and was recently named to our list of the best wide receivers drafted by the organization.

In fact, in only 38 career starts with the team, Williams racked up 25 touchdowns, including a career-best 8 during the 1986 NFL season.

Another wide receiver who the Raiders drafted, although had much higher expectations placed on him was Darrius Heyward-Bey, who wore No. 85 from 2010 through 2012 after wearing No. 12 as a rookie in 2009. A first round pick, Heyward-Bey

However, our top Raider to wear No. 85 for the team was a defensive player who helped the team to their 1967 AFL title.
