Countdown to 2020: Best Raiders player to wear No. 81 all-time

Tim Brown (1988-2003)

Tim Brown is not just the best player in Raiders history to wear number 81 but may be the best in NFL history to wear it. Brown played for the Raiders for an incredible 16 years and racked up 14,734 yards, 1070 catches, and 99 touchdowns. The Heisman Trophy winner also had nine-straight 1,000 yard seasons and did not miss a game for 10 straight years from 1993 to 2002.

He was one of the best wide receivers in the NFL during his lengthy career and earned plenty of individual accolades, including nine trips to the Pro Bowl and an enshrinement in Canton, Ohio at the Pro Football Hall of Fame. His place in history as the best receiver in Raiders history is unquestioned as he owns every receiving record in team history with the competition miles behind.

In NFL history his place as an all-timer is also unquestioned as he is still top-10 in every major receiving category in league history despite retiring nearly 20 years ago.  Tim Brown is truly an all-time great and his talent and class is a shining beacon in Raiders and NFL history. Raider Nation is lucky to call him one of their own.
