Las Vegas Raiders go defense early in 7-round 2021 mock draft

You really thought we could go a full mock draft without one Clemson player being selected? Here we have the Raiders selecting Amari Rodgers, a dynamic wide receiver for the Tigers. The Raiders already have Hunter Renfrow, a wideout from Clemson on the roster, so why not take another star from Dabo Swinney’s cupboard.

The often-overlooked receiver is a talented player who, in his final collegiate season, can thrive in the Clemson offense. The Tigers lost star wideout Justyn Ross due to a spinal correction surgery, so the stage is set for Rodgers to be one of Travis Lawrence’s top options.

With a full bill of health he could have his best season yet as a Tiger, helping them get back to a national title game. Mike Mayock loves him some Clemson Tigers, and after the 2020 NFL season, seven of the Raiders wideouts will become free agents, including Zay Jones and Nelson Agholor, clearing space on the roster.
