6 players the Raiders can’t afford to lose to injury in 2020

Cory Littleton, Linebacker

Heading into the 2020 offseason, the Las Vegas Raiders knew they needed to make wholesale changes at the linebacker position group. Mike Mayock and company did that in a big way via free agency, adding both Cory Littleton and Nick Kwiatkoski to a unit that struggled mightily in coverage last season.

Luckily for Raider Nation, Littleton is a tremendous coverage linebacker, and will give this defense the kind of lift it needs in terms of protection against the pass. The Raiders play some of the better quarterbacks in football this season, so making sure the linebackers could cover was paramount, and Littleton is one of the best in football at doing just that.

There is very little depth behind Littleton in 2020, so if he were to go out due to injury, it could be a huge blow to this new-look defense. If they stay healthy, this defense could take a giant step forward, and in Littleton, they have that defensive leader at linebacker that they have been lacking.
