6 players the Raiders can’t afford to lose to injury in 2020
Trayvon Mullen, Cornerback
Last season, rookie Trayvon Mullen showed late in the season that he has all the makings of being a legitimate CB1 at the NFL level. The problem was, outside of Mullen, the position group needed to be revamped, which Mike Mayock did this offseason by drafting Damon Arnette and Amik Robertson, while bringing in Prince Amukamara.
Arnette was a bit of a surprise in the first round, but Robertson was considered a steal in the fourth, and could push Lamarcus Joyner for the starting nickel corner spot. The battle between Arnette and Amukamara will be an interesting one for CB2, but whoever starts, the Raiders cannot afford to lose Mullen.
The cornerback position has long been an issue for the Silver and Black, and Mullen was such a breath of fresh air last season. If they play well, and with the talent they have at safety, this defensive backfield has some young and hungry players who could change the narrative in Las Vegas.
