Five fictional players that could help the Las Vegas Raiders

Nigel Gruff, K: The Replacements

The last time the Raiders had a kicker who could kick the ball as hard as he could party, they had future Hall of Famer, and all-time scoring leader Sebastian Janikowski. When comparing Nigel Gruff to Seabass, its hard to imagine anyone who could party harder than the Polish Cannon, but Nigel certainly breaks the mold.

The fear for bringing Nigel on to the Raiders isn’t so much his drinking or smoking problem, but more his crippling gambling addiction. In the city known best for bright lights, loose slots and 24-hour gaming, Las Vegas may do him in before a jailbreak on a field goal could.

In addition, Gruff would be a solid addition to this roster to push Daniel Carlson, who took a step back in his production last season. Imagine a training camp where Carlson is trying to kick, but Gruff’s cigarette smoke is making it hard for him to put it through the uprights.
