Las Vegas Raiders 2020 Opponent Review: Denver Broncos

How the Raiders can beat the Broncos in 2020

The Raiders were able to handle Flacco in Week 1 pretty easily, as Johnathan Abram was flying all over the field, and Josh Jacobs was run over, and around their defense. Trent Brown and Kolton Miller did a fantastic job against Von Miller and Bradley Chubb, something they will have to do once again in 2020 if the Raiders want a chance to beat this tough Broncos defense.

Lock stepped in and proved to be a winner late in the season, so the Raiders defense needs to make sure they are in his face all game long. The Broncos added so many weapons for him this offseason, but if Maxx Crosby, Clelin Ferrell, and Carl Nassib can get pressure off the edge, they should be able to disrupt his timing.

Finally, the Raiders need to pound the rock with Jacobs, who will be 100 percent healthy from his shoulder injury a year ago, and has the guys behind him to spell him when necessary. If Carr can work the middle of this Broncos defense, and the line can create holes, they should be able to score on what should be a stout unit.

Personally, I would not mind the Raiders getting another split with the Broncos this season, as that Week 17 game on the road in January is going to be a tough one. Hopefully by then the Raiders have already clinched a playoff spot, because if their hopes come down to that late-season matchup, it is going to be a tough one to pull off.
