With 69 days until the opening game of 2020, we start the count down with the best Raiders player at every jersey number. Today we focus on No. 69.

With the season a few months away, we take a look at the best player to wear the jersey number of the number of days left before the opener on September 13, 2020 against the Carolina Panthers. That game will kick off the new era of Raiders football.

We continue our series with No. 69.

Eric Kush is the current Raiders player wearing the No. 69, and he is entering his first season with the franchise. Kush came over to Las Vegas in free agency after spending last season with the Cleveland Browns. He is expected to challenge for a roster spot as a versatile backup behind a stout Raiders offensive line in 2020.

The No. 69 is an interesting one in Raiders history, as it has only been worn by a handful of players, and no player outside of our selection below has worn it for more than a season.

Khalif Barnes (2009-2015)

Khalif Barnes was selected by the Jacksonville Jaguars in the second round of the 2005 NFL Draft after an All-Pac 12 season for the Washington Huskies. Barnes entered the league as the starting left tackle for the Jaguars, starting every single game he appeared in over the first four years of his NFL career.

In 2009, Barnes landed with the Oakland Raiders, making the move to the right side of the line and starting a handful of games. He became the team’s starting right tackle during the 2011 NFL season, and would go on to become a full-time starter for the Silver and Black across the next four years.

The highlight of Barnes career with the Raiders may have been in 2010, when he caught a touchdown pass from Jason Campbell. Overall, he was a constant in the lineup for multiple seasons for the Raiders, and while he played on some bad teams, Barnes lands as the best Raiders player to wear No. 69 in team history.
