Las Vegas Raiders will get the best version of Derek Carr in 2020

Solid statistical 2019 NFL season

While the Raiders failed to make it to the .500 mark once again in 2019, the fact is, they did have a three-win improvement over the year before. Winning seven games was a step in the right direction, but the year ended on a sour note, as the team lost five of their last six games to close out the campaign.

For Carr, there were plenty of lows, including being booed out of the Coliseum after a loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars. In all fairness, the Raiders should have won that game, as another blown call against the organization negated a late first down run by Carr, and the Jaguars came back to win late.

During the season, Carr was one of the more accurate quarterbacks in the league, completing over 70 percent of his passes, second to only Drew Brees of the New Orleans Saints. Carr also set a career-high in passing yards, and was able to accomplish all of this with injuries to the wide receiver group, causing a revolving door at the position.
