Countdown to 2020: Best Raiders player to wear No. 64 all-time

George Buehler (1969-1978)

The Oakland Raiders made George Buehler a second round pick back in 1969, selecting the offensive guard out of Stanford University. Buehler took a few seasons before he would crack the starting lineup for the Silver and Black, but from 1971 through the 1977 season, he would not miss a single start.

The trio of Buehler, Jim Otto, and Gene Upshaw helped pave the way for some of the more dominant offensive units in team history. The Raiders of the 1970s were one of the premier teams in the league, and when it came to durability, Buehler could be counted on time and time again to help the team pick up the tough yards.

Buehler would end up finishing his career with the Cleveland Browns, as he lost his starting job in 1978, and split the season with two teams. In his final season in the NFL, he appeared in 11 games, while making six starts, but when it comes to his career, he will be known for being a part of a monster offensive line that paved the way for the Raiders first Super Bowl win.
