EA’s Madden NFL 21 has recently released ratings for all the players in the NFL. Here are the top ten Raiders on the list.
It is officially that time of year, where the latest version of Madden Football comes out, and fans can start picking up their controllers for another year of fun. For the Las Vegas Raiders, the game will feature their brand new stadium, and thanks to a strong two offseasons, a roster that should be quite competitive.
Recently, we took a look at the top-10 rated players for the Raiders in the game, and the franchise got some right, and some wrong. Here is the top-10 list for the team in 2021.
- Rodney Hudson – 93
- Richie Incognito – 90
- Josh Jacobs – 88
- Trent Brown – 87
- Darren Waller – 85
- Damarious Randall – 82
- Lamarcus Joyner – 82
- Tyrell Williams – 82
- Derek Carr – 79
- Gabe Jackson – 78
Most of the players on this the Raiders top-10 list are on offense, specifically four who make up one of the better offensive lines in football. Rodney Hudson takes the top spot, and rightfully so, as he is widely considered the best center in football.
The only other member of the 90-club is Richie Incognito, who returned to the NFL in a big way in 2019, reclaiming his place as one of the best offensive guards in the league. Running back Josh Jacobs came close to the 90-mark, but fell a bit short, likely due to the fact he was used sparingly in the passing game last season.
Madden was kind to the Raiders offense, ranking the complete unit as one of the best in the game, but the defense was shown no love. Here, we take a look at what the game got right, and what they got wrong when it came to the Silver and Black.
Las Vegas Raiders Madden NFL 21 top-10 ratings revealed
What Madden NFL 21 got right
Madden nailed the most of the offensive line ratings for the Raiders. The top-10 offensive line played very well last year, holding Khalil Mack and company to zero sacks in the UK. The only suspect in terms of this ranking is Trent Brown being at 87, but we will get into that in a bit,
Josh Jacobs stepped onto the NFL stage and became one of the best young running backs in football, and he nearly cracked the 90-mark in Year 2. Jacobs figures to be utilized more in the passing game this season, and if he continues to dominate the way he did as a rookie, he will certainly be a 90-plus guy next year.
Richie Incognito is another player that’s invaluable to the Raiders offensive line. Incognito is one of the best guards in the league, and can go toe-to-toe with any defensive tackle in the NFL right now. He was one of the main reasons Jacobs was able to become the first Raiders rookie to rush for over 1,000 yards in 2019.
Gabe Jackson is another player that is spot on in my opinion. Jackson played very up and down last year, resulting in some games where he missed some blocks, but also he struggled in pass protection too. He was rumored to be traded this offseason, but the Raiders brought him back, which was a smart move.
