2020 Las Vegas Raiders 53-man roster projection entering training camp

Running Back (4): JoshJacobs, JalenRichard, LynnBowden Jr, AlecIngold

The Raiders are pretty much set at the running back position, as they have one of the best backs in the NFL in Josh Jacobs leading the line, and a reliable third down back in Jalen Richard to call on. Jacobs deserved to be the Offensive Rookie of the Year in 2019, but quarterbacks get all the love, so it’s no surprise he was snubbed by voters.

A shoulder injury kept him from having an even more memorable season but we should expect big things from him in year two.

Richard is a known commodity with the Raiders as a third-down back but may see some of his touches drop thanks to Lynn Bowden Jr and his diverse skill set. The former Wildcat is a Swiss Army knife, and will likely line up all over the field but is listed as a running back on the Raiders roster so we will include him here as well.

Rod Smith was predicted by some to be the Raiders short yardage back but that duty may fall to fullback Alec Ingold instead, who was quite good in the role in 2019. Ingold has been working hard this offseason in the team’s unofficial workouts and could be asked to do even more in 2020.
