10 Las Vegas Raiders who have something to prove in 2020
LT Kolton Miller
Kolton Miller is an interesting candidate here because by all accounts he had a solid sophomore season. His rookie year was extremely difficult, as he struggled with injury and the physicality of the position, and gave up 16 sacks, tied for the most allowed by a starting tackle in 2018.
He made noticeable strides with his technique and overall strength and reduced it to a much more respectable seven in 2019. Miller also continued to improve his durability, and played every offensive snap for the Raiders last year.
As of now, Miller is a solid tackle on one of the best offensive lines in the league, so he has some wiggle room thanks to playing alongside four other studs. The Raiders didn’t draft Miller in the first round just to be solid, however, and they feel he can be a cornerstone player for the franchise’s new era in Las Vegas.
Miller may not need to be selected to a Pro Bowl to show he is worthy of being a franchise player, but he will need to play at that level. He will have to do it against some incredibly dynamic pass rushers in the AFC West but you can’t be the best until you beat the best.
