The Las Vegas Raiders have been stacking young talent the past two NFL Drafts, and two 2019 picks made ESPN’s break out list for the 2020 season.

Since taking over as general manager of the Las Vegas Raiders, Mike Mayock has done a wonderful job adding elite talent via the NFL Draft. More importantly, he has done an outstanding job adding starting, and sometime star quality players after the first two rounds, as was evident in 2019 with the breakout season for Maxx Crosby.

Crosby put together a monster rookie season, posting double-digit sack numbers, and putting his name in the ring for being the NFL’s Defensive Rookie of the Year. He was able to accomplish all of that despite the fact he was a fourth round pick, and had no real expectations on him coming into Year 1.

ESPN has put together a list of break out stars for years now, and Rivers McCown recently posted his list of the top-25 players to break out in 2020. (subscription required)

In order to make this list, a player must be drafted in the third round or later, or signed as an undrafted free agent. In addition, they can only be players drafted from 2017 to 2019, and have not signed a contract extension.

For the Raiders, two young budding stars were named to the list.
