2 Las Vegas Raiders named as players destined for first Pro Bowl in 2020

The Las Vegas Raiders will play host to the Pro Bowl in 2021, and two of their current players were named as being destined to make their first appearance.

The 2020 NFL season appears to be a go, as there was good news on COVID testing on Thursday, with only 56 players testing positive out of nearly 3,000 tests given since the start of training camp. That equates to about two percent, and for the Las Vegas Raiders, one big name has already landed on the COVID-19 reserve list, and that was Maxx Crosby, who dominated as a rookie last season.

Playing football during a pandemic is going to be all-hands on deck, and as we have seen in other professional sports, things do not always go as planned. The Raiders have built a roster that should be able to contend for a playoff spot this season, so the hope is that the league can find a way to make the season happen.

On a lighter note, looking at what the 2020 NFL season could bring in terms of production on the field, the Raiders should have their fair share of Pro Bowl players. Both sides of the ball have guys that have been to the Pro Bowl before, but there are also those who could be making their first appearance this season.

Recently, a list of the top-10 players in the NFL who could make their first Pro Bowl was released, and the Raiders were well-represented.
