List of players who opted out in the AFC West

Las Vegas Raiders

The Las Vegas Raiders have already been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, as running back Devontae Booker had it early on, and then two more players tested positive this week. One of those players is star edge rusher Maxx Crosby, who came out of nowhere to notch ten sacks as a rookie, nearly beating the Raiders team mark from the prior year.

Rod Smith, who is trying to beat out Booker and make this team as the fourth running back, also was placed on the COVID/Reserve list, and will now have to wait to be cleared before he can return to the team.

Here are the Raiders who decided to opt out in 2020.

Killings had been working out with his teammates during their practices in the park in Vegas, but decided to opt out. This is a player who missed the entire 2019 season due to a torn pectoral muscle, so it looks like he will have to wait until 2021 until he can make his NFL debut.

Based on the other teams in the AFC West, the trio that the Raiders will see opt out are not going to hurt them as much, outside of the Chargers who have nobody opting out. There are high expectations on this Raiders team as they make the move to Vegas, and it looks like all of their big-name players will be onboard in 2020.
