Las Vegas Raiders DE Clelin Ferrell will play like a top-5 pick in 2020

Bulked up Ferrell to take leap forward

Though it has been a crazy offseason due to the COVID-19 pandemic, that has not stopped Ferrell from keeping his foot on the gas in terms of getting ready for the 2020 campaign. Ferrell bulked up after stating that he is going to look like a completely different person in Year 2, and now that he will be solely on the edge, production is going to increase.

In addition, the team added power to the middle of the defensive line in Maliek Collins, as well as brought in solid depth behind Ferrell and Madd Maxx in Carl Nassib. If 2018 third rounder Arden Key can finally get going, this has the potential to be one of the better edge rusher groups in the game, but it all comes down to whether or not Ferrell takes a big leap forward this season.

Next. Darren Waller could have the Raiders second 100-catch season. dark

With the added talent up front around Ferrell, and the Raiders getting better at linebacker and in the secondary, I fully expect him to be a dominant force coming off the edge for the team this season. Allen had 10.5 sacks as a rookie last season, which only added fuel to the fire that the team made a mistake passing on him, but Ferrell can erase all of that with a productive sophomore year.
