2020 Las Vegas Raiders Over/Under: Derek Carr 4,500 yards

Conclusion and Prediction

As much as Raider Nation would like Carr to become a gunslinger and rack up passing yards for fun, that is just not the way Gruden and his offense operate. Gruden prefers a balanced offens,e and with one of the best backs in the league behind Carr, expect them to lean on him to keep defenses honest and give them room to operate over the top.

We have gone on the record that Carr will throw for over 30 touchdowns, and as we have seen from other quarterbacks in recent history, you can certainly do that while not hitting the 4,500 yard mark. The Raiders expect to be better in the red zone, and with the weapons they have in Bowden, Jacobs, Foster Moreau, and even Jason Witten, we may see an uptick in Carr’s productivity there, but not necessarily between the 20’s.

Next. Lynn Bowden Jr. brings a special skill set to the Raiders offense. dark

Derek Carr has everything he needs to succeed in 2020 including an excellent offensive line, and a potentially great running game, but that does not necessarily mean he will hit the over of 4,500 yards. As we have seen, hitting that total is not a guarantee of team success, and in fact it may be the opposite if the team is overly reliant on the passing game.

The Raiders should have a balanced offense and finish in the top 7-10 in the league but Carr will pass for less than 4,500 yards in 2020.

Prediction: Derek Carr goes UNDER 4,500 yards in 2020 but has a Pro Bowl caliber season
