4 New faces who have impressed so far at Raiders training camp
Cory Littleton, Linebacker
Cory Littleton was viewed by many as the best player the Raiders acquired this off season, and he has shown why so far. Former Los Angeles Rams teammate Lamarcus Joyner told the coaching staff at Raiders training camp Littleton as a “must get,” and he has shown why through his first few weeks with the team in camp.
The Raiders linebacker group has lacked speed and coverage ability for years, and Littleton is bringing that to the Raiders right away. He is widely considered one of the better coverage linebackers in the league, and after seeing quarterback shred the Raiders defense year after year in the passing game, he is more than a welcome addition.
Raiders safety Jeff Heath described Littleton as moving like a defensive back in a linebackers body, which is something no Raiders linebacker has been able to be described as in a long time. It will be exciting to see how much of a difference Littleton can make to the Raiders defense, because if the linebacker group goes from a weakness to a strength as well, it completely changes the narrative surrounding that side of the ball heading into 2020.
