Las Vegas Raiders second-year DEs bulked up and ready to dominate
Clelin Ferrell
As a rookie, Ferrell was asked to play inside early on, and really was not built for that kind of assignment. To make matters worse, Ferrell got really sick when the team traveled to London, losing 15 pounds, and he had to sit out the team’s game against the Chicago Bears.
Through it all, Ferrell continued to work, and by the end of the season, he was starting to show a lot of improvement. Moving him to the outside exclusively certainly helped, but as he enters Year 2, he has put on a bunch of weight, staying true to the promise that he was going to come back “looking like a new man.”
That new man currently weighs 275 pounds, and one look at him shows a mountain of a man looking to cause havoc in 2020. He is going to be used on the inside, as well as out, and now has the added weight needed to do just that. You can certainly expect him to improve on his 4.5 sack total from last year.
