Las Vegas Raiders second-year DEs bulked up and ready to dominate

Maxx Crosby

Last season, Maxx Crosby was one of the bigger stories in football, as the fourth round pick put himself in serious consideration for the NFL’s Defensive Rookie of the Year honors. With ten sacks across ten starts, Crosby showed the kind of motor that is going to make him a dominant edge rusher for years to come, and he is only getting started.

Like Ferrell, Crosby bulked up as well this offseason, and that should be considered scary news for opposing quarterbacks. On Monday, he absolutely blew past David Sharpe like he was standing in concrete, showing a menacing spin move that looked almost impossible to block. His potential is off the charts, and he already has established himself as a leader on this defense.

Crosby recently reunited with the team after being out due to COVID-19, and you could tell that he has been putting in work. Between the splinters on his hands from doing drills against palm trees, as well as his added muscle, this is a guy who should certainly eclipsed double-digits in sacks once again in 2020.
