Las Vegas Raiders 53-man 2020 Week 1 roster prediction

Safety (4): Damarious Randall, Johnathan Abram, Jeff Heath, Erik Harris

The Raiders will have an improved group of safeties heading into 2020, but the most exciting part of the group is the return of Johnathan Abram. The aggressive style of Abram mixes with the coverage ability of Damarious Randall will make the Raiders secondary fun to watch.

In his short time on the field in 2019, Abram proved to be the Alpha of the secondary, and he has come to camp ready to work. Randall was a sneaky good free agent signing for Mayock and the Raiders, and like Amukamara, will figure into the team’s plans early in 2020.

The Raiders also added long time Cowboy Jeff Heath, a player that could surprise and fight for a starting spot right away. Heath is a great leader and should be able to help Abram develop greatly.

The Raiders also brought back Erik Harris, the team’s leader in interceptions in 2019. Harris went from being a feel-good story to being a cornerstone of the 2019 defense, and showed that he not only belonged in the NFL, but that he could be an impact player.
