Las Vegas Raiders 53-man 2020 Week 1 roster prediction

Special Teams (3): Daniel Carlson, AJ Cole, Trent Sieg

Although the Raiders special teams group was not great last season, it does not appear that the Raiders will be making any changes from 2019. Daniel Carlson struggled in 2019, but showed potential in 2018, and has the ability to be an above average kicker if he can get back on track this season.

During that 2018 season, Carlson was nearly automatic after being picked up as a free agent, and he is still very young, so hopefully he will be fine.

AJ Cole returns for his second season as the Raiders punter as he had ups and downs in his rookie year. Hopefully the Raiders will not need Cole often, but when he hits the field expect him to play better than last year. The long snapper will once again be Trent Sieg, a guy who was given an opportunity two years ago and never looked back.

Finally, another exciting part of this Raiders special teams unit is the fact that they have so many extremely fast and athletic guys on the roster to return the ball. We could see Bowden, Ruggs, Richard, and even Renfrow back there returning punts and kicks this season, giving the team a decided advantage.
