Las Vegas Raiders 53-man 2020 Week 1 roster prediction

Running Back (5): Josh Jacobs, Jalen Richard, Lynn Bowden Jr, William Stanback, Alec Ingold

We could see the Raiders carry more running backs than expected this year due to the many different play styles of rookie Lynn Bowden Jr, but one thing for sure is that the majority of the load will go to Josh Jacobs.

Jacobs proved to be a great first round pick after his rookie campaign in a season where he showed the ability to run through defenders and be an extremely aggressive back. After one season, many believe Jacobs is already a top-ten back in the NFL, and has the ability to break into the top-five this season.

Jalen Richard returns to the Raiders as a solid receiving back to compliment the hard running style of Jacobs. Richard has always been good for the Raiders, bringing a different set of skills to the backfield.

The addition of Lynn Bowden Jr could change the offense, as Bowden has shown the ability to play running back, wide receiver, and even quarterback. Expect the Raiders to use Bowden in all kinds of different roles, especially in the Wildcat formation.

The battle for the last spot will be between William Stanback and Devontae Booker, but I believe Stanback will win that role due to the style of football Booker plays. The Raiders do not need another receiving back, as Richard and Bowden already fill that role.

Alec Ingold enters his second season as one of the best fullbacks in football, as the Raiders use him in a much bigger role than most other fullbacks in the NFL. Expect Ingold to become even more involved in the offense this season.
