Remaining players from 2018 draft class key for Las Vegas Raiders in 2020
Key and Hurst
Through his first two seasons in the NFL, Maurice Hurst has steadily developed into a very solid defensive tackle. Considered a first round pick out of Michigan, Hurst fell to the fifth round of the 2018 NFL Draft due to a heart issue that was discovered at the combine, but the Raiders decided to roll the dice on him anyway.
With the addition of Maliek Collins to the interior of the Raiders defensive line, the team has solid depth at the defensive tackle position, but Hurst’s continued growth will be key for the franchise moving forward. He is incredibly athletic for a player his size, and has shown the ability to stuff the run, and get into the backfield.
Fellow 2018 pick Arden Key is another guy who had a first round buzz on him heading into the draft, but he fell to the Raiders in the third round. He has yet to stay healthy long enough to really stake his claim as a building block for this franchise, but all reports have pointed to him having a great training camp early on.

If Key can round into a solid edge rusher at the NFL level, the Raiders would have a great four-some at the position group in him, Clelin Ferrell, Maxx Crosby, and Carl Nassib. The trio of Miller, Key, and Hurst are the last chance for this draft class to prove their worth, and all three are headed towards a make-or-break season in 2020.
