Raiders 2021 7-round mock draft: Las Vegas bolsters both lines early

In this mock simulation, the Silver and Black hold the No. 11 overall selection, which may be a bit too high considering they should be playoff contenders this season. However, with the 11th overall pick, the Raiders decide to bring in more depth in the interior of their defensive line, adding the talented Jaylen Twyman from Pitt.

The hope is that Maurice Hurst takes a step forward in 2020, and the addition of Maliek Collins has the kind of impact that head coach Jon Gruden has been talking about all summer. In Twyman, they would be bringing in a player who has decided to sit out the 2020 college football season, but also a player who was named a preseason All-American.

Last season, Twyman showed he can be extremely disruptive in the backfield, racking up 12 tackles for a loss to go along with his 10.5 sacks. That is incredible production, and with Johnathan Hankins entering free agency, there is going to be a need for more talent up front along the defensive line, and Twyman would be an instant starter for Rod Marinelli.
