Raiders 2021 7-round mock draft: Las Vegas bolsters both lines early

Ducks . Jevon Holland. 75. player. 820. . Safety

During the 2019 NFL Draft, the then-Oakland Raiders used one of their three first round picks on Mississippi State safety, Johnathan Abram. Abram was the star of the team’s run on HBO Hard Knocks, and played well in Week 1, before tearing up his shoulder and missing the rest of his rookie season.

In 2020, he is going to be expected to lead a revamped group at safety that includes newly-acquired veterans Jeff Heath and Damarious Randall. With their third round pick in 2021, the Raiders could look to add more young talent to the position group, selecting the hard-hitting Jevon Holland out of Oregon.

Holland plays with the same kind of intensity that Abram does, so it would be a nice, young tandem at the position moving forward. He was able to come up and play in the slot at Oregon, and is an outstanding ballhawk, as he has had at least four interceptions in each of the last two seasons, and the Raiders need more players like that in their secondary.
