5 keys to success for the Las Vegas Raiders 2020 season

Rookie Wide Receivers

As was the case with the linebacker group, the Raiders felt it was necessary to revamp the wide receiver room as well, and they did so via free agency, and the NFL Draft. Nelson Agholor was brought in as a free agent, and has looked good so far in the Silver and Black, but it will be the rookie wideouts who make or break this group this season.

Henry Ruggs III was picked at No. 12 overall, the first wide receiver selected, and he will slide in as the team’s WR1, playing the Z spot this season. He is not only an incredibly fast guy, but he runs the entire route tree, and we have already seen him make so many acrobatic catches so far in camp.

Staying with acrobatic catches, third round pick Bryan Edwards has turned the most heads in camp this summer, and could actually wind up starting at the X spot over veteran Tyrell Williams. Williams is dealing with a torn labrum, but will try to play through it, which also could accelerate Edwards’ move to the starting lineup.

Hunter Renfrow was solid as a rookie, but in 2020, the new rookie class will not only be expected to play good football, but help lead this passing attack.
