ESPN laid out their final 53-man rosters for all 32 NFL teams on Wednesday, and here are five observations for the Las Vegas Raiders.

We are officially less than two weeks until the start of the 2020 NFL season, a year that will see the Oakland Raiders become the Las Vegas Raiders. As we inch closer to Week 1, and specifically Saturday’s cut day, those who follow the team will be released their projected 53-man rosters.

Paul Gutierrez, who does a tremendous job covering the Raiders for ESPN recently laid out his final 53-man roster projection (subscription required). Here are five observations.

The Peter-Man makes the Week 1 roster

Looking at Gutierrez’s final 53-man roster, he has a Gruden favorite making the roster out of training camp. That is right, Nathan Peterman is listed as the QB3 on the final roster, which makes sense considering what a rough summer it has been for the Raiders No. 2 quarterback, Marcus Mariota.

Not only has Mariota struggled with his accuracy, and is battling back from injury, but Gruden’s offense is very hard to digest. Peterman has been with Gruden for a few years now, and his biggest fan may not want to see him poached by another team, especially for stashing in case of a COVID-19 issue.
