2020 Las Vegas Raiders 53-man roster projection after training camp

Cornerbacks (6): Trayvon Mullen, Damon Arnette, Isaiah Johnson, Lamarcus Joyner, Amik Robertson, Nevin Lawson

The Raiders surprised us all by releasing veteran CB Prince Amukamara just months after signing him to a one-year deal to presumably start opposite Trayvon Mullen. Amukamara must have struggled in camp, as the team has chosen to go with a youth movement at the position where four of the six corners on the roster are 24-years-old or younger.

Damon Arnette will likely be the starter now giving the Raiders an incredibly young duo of outside corners but the veteran presence of Lamarcus Joyner should help ease some of the growing pains. Joyner stays at the slot cornerback spot with Amik Robertson likely backing him up despite getting some looks outside in camp.

Isaiah Johnson is a Gruden favorite, and he keeps his place on the roster and is joined by Nevin Lawson as rotational player. Keisean Nixon may be on the roster Week 1 because of Lawson’s suspension, but he will likely be on the practice squad for most of the season.

Overall, this group has more talent than it has had in a long time, and that is a testament to what Mayock was able to do in the draft.
