2020 Las Vegas Raiders 53-man roster projection after training camp

Safeties (4): Johnathan Abram, Damarious Randall, Jeff Heath, Erik Harris

Johnathan Abram is back and ready to take over as the leader of this Raiders defense after missing 15 games in 2019. He is joined by a familiar face in Erik Harris who is still in contention for a starting spot after a solid 2019 campaign.

Harris is not the most athletic player on the field, but he and Jeff Heath are similar in that they use their intelligence to be in the right place at the right time. Both players have a similar story as undrafted free agents from small schools who carved out a role for themselves by contributing on special teams.

Damarious Randall is another veteran acquisition on a one-year deal, and he is competing with Harris to start alongside Abram. Randall has the better pedigree as a former first round pick, and is currently listed as the starter, but regardless of who is first on the depth chart, he will have plenty of opportunities to contribute to this defense.
